"I would like to preface this review with the fact that my husband and I have been customers of State Farm for over 50 years- we have had many different agents , all with different personalities and points of view. Today we visited Mr Tingleys ofc to try and get an understanding of some new policies that State Farm is going to implement. This is only our second visit there- the first being a rather unpleasant one when he first took over our account. We met with a woman to ask some questions about our account but she was really only interested in how much money we had to invest with them. Mind you we never met Mr. Tingly- and still have not. Today we entered the office to see a busy place. A young man behind the desk was helping one man while another customer was seated waiting. This customer then stood up to take his turn and it was quite obvious that he was a little lost and very confused. The young man at the desk remained calm and spoke to him calmly and politely. Took his time and directed him to somewhere else for help.This young man's name was Justus D. He went on then to take his time and made sure we understood all of our options. Justus as an account manager told us options no one had ever suggested to us. What an asset to a busy office. Someone who knows the business and is very personable. Better hang on to him Mr Tingley - wherever you are. Kindness counts"

"I had storm damage in June and had a tarp on my roof until December. Super disappointing response time and the staff always say they will call you and then don’t. TJ is a very nice man and very professional in nature so I don’t understand why he allowed me to be treated as I was this last year… Never after the initial damage did he return my calls or offer to navigate this incredibly difficult situation. I was on my own through the entire process. I’ve had them for insurance for at least 10 years and never had a claim before. I wish I could think of anything positive to say about State Farm as a whole to be objective but I honestly cannot."

"First, I want to let you know that I am a person who does leave reviews on products and services. I do this, because, I myself like to do research before I spend my money on different items and services and I always look online or talk to others about their experiences so that I am able to make an informed decision about the quality, longevity, warranty, service and satisfaction. So, I also do the same for other's so they too can have information to help them in their decision making process. I recently (Sept. 27th) had the unfortunate experience of having the remnants of Hurricane Helene (as a tropical depression) visit my property in Indianapolis, Indiana. The storm had done tremendous damage from Florida all the way up to the Canadian border. With this, the insurance companies had been overwhelmed with claims - mine was no different. I have had the same insurance company for over 4 decades "State Farm". And as the commercials state "I Bundle and Save". You may not have any accidents or natural disasters visit you for years, but when you do, do you want an online insurance company that when you call for help, you get a computerized system that gives you a myriad of "press one for account status, press two for billing, press three to pay your bill, press four to hear other options....." No, you really don't want that. You want a human being who knows you. Who knows your specific situation, who cares about you, your family and your property. When the remnants of Hurricane Helene swept through my neighborhood, gusting winds of over 65mph tore my huge Hackberry tree in half, toppling it onto my patio, garage, and through my privacy fence. There was extensive damage as this tree was said by the tree service company to have been well over 250 years old and possibly the tallest in the neighborhood. Now, it did take longer than anyone would like, to get the entire process completed (as the adjusters were overwhelmed) and with that there are many complexities involved. I had an issue which the adjuster had missed. I was a bit frustrated but I was able to pick up my phone and call my agents office. Justus Dowers of the T.J. Tingley State Farm office took my call and listened patiently, with understanding, respect and concern. I was asked to send my information directly to the office email so that Justus could review it and discuss it with the Adjuster division. Once everything was explained and understood, my remaining claim concern was handled "immediately" and a check was mailed to me the same day. You are not going to get that type of service with an online, "press one for account status, press two for billing, press three to pay your bill, press four to hear other options....." company. You might save a small amount of money monthly.... but when you NEED help, it is worth a few more dollars to get a human being who knows and understands your particular situation. In closing - Justus Dowers of the T.J. Tingley State Farm office receives "5 out of 5 STARS" for the best possible service, support, understanding and resolution involving my PERSONAL claim. Thank You Justus, you lifted my spirits !! Greg"
